Arielle was tired of ringing up lacy panties at the cash register that froze anytime someone made a return. She was even wearier from hunting daily in the endless back stock room for the matching sequins bra. All for a few bucks more then minimum wage.  But Arielle finally got her chance to quit the retail business and enter into a more lucrative industry. Arielle was hired as a cocktail waitress at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club. A Las Vegas cocktail waitress … What’s not to like? They bring over favorite drinks while showing a lot of skin. Cocktail waitresses are the cheerleaders to the gambling atmosphere. They support the gamer, bestowing upon him the liquid courage needed to place a higher bet or bringing a celebratory round for when the player has just won big.
Throughout Las Vegas history, the job of cocktail waitress has been a sought after one, earning a different distinction than the typical server job. “I make an average of $100 a day, on a bad day I make about $50-$60 but I usually don’t start work until midnight,” says Arielle. Waitressing in the casinos is one of the most glamorous jobs. When casinos in Vegas began, employers hired woman as a way to display their hotels. Today Las Vegas Hotels today revolutionized what it means to serve drinks. Women have been able to take confident attitude and make a living by serving drink and sometimes a little dance!
