Footprints stomp aroundÂ
like they are sureÂ
they will be lasting impressions
on this soil.
Having penetrated the depths,
their illustrious gloryÂ
shall remainÂ
on the face of this Earth,
long after the footÂ
that brought them into being
has lost all its cells to time,
lies rotten
denuded of all life.
Â
Deluded they are,
for they are not on the moon
Yet
For now, this EarthÂ
will have to bear their light marks
until timely Earth windsÂ
erase them away.
Permanency, an illusive concept
That drives them to strive
for the next illustrious step
over and over and over
until it’s over.
