Spring has sprung, well sort of. At least the weather has gotten slightly warmer, and I’ve seen a couple of flowers blooming around campus. But whether it is officially springtime, it is time (maybe even a bit late) to start looking into what is going to be ‘Springing’ into style this season.
Frantic about Fringe- Fringe is going to be a huge trend for this spring season. We will be seeing fringe on just about everything, from fringe shirts to fringe skirts, to fringe dresses- you will be sure to find a way to acquire this trend into your wardrobe.
Gingham AKA the ‘new black’- Gingham will be the ultimate pattern to incorporate in your look this season. Gingham is being seen everywhere, and it is the perfect spring pattern. The pattern adds a sense of class to almost any outfit and basically screams spring. Pair a gingham flannel with a pair of white jeans and you will instantly look put together.
Showing off shoulders- We all know that the midriff has been a go-to part of the body to reveal as the weather gets warmer. However shoulders have become another sexy part of the body that can be shown off in the spring, which is great, because shoulders typically a flattering feature. I mean how many times have you heard someone say, “I hate my shoulders.” So give off some cold shoulder this season, and try for an off the shoulder or one shoulder look.
A Flair for Flare- Who knew that in 2015 we would be wearing flared pants, but it is happening. This is a super retro trend that brings us all the way back to the ‘70s. This can be an intimidating trend after so many years of flaunting skinnies, but flared pants adds both instant glamour and statement to an outfit.
