Alexis Brammer, a freshman nursing student from Chicago, has found her home in Woodoworth Complex.
“I love living here,” she said. “I’ve found great friends who accept me, and I love the environment in this living learning community.”
Brammer has become an important resource in her hall for other residents, and she has also gone on to help her resident assistant with tasks and programs around the hall.
“This month, we’re doing Chinese New Year, and it’s a program that helps others understand and incorporate more diversity in their lives,” she said. “That’s something that’s really important to me – getting to know and learn about others – even of they’re different from you.”
Brammer said she hopes to live on-campus again next year, but she’s considering taking her talents and interests into a new living learning community for her sophomore year.
