Hometown:
New York City
Area of study:
Economics
Relationship status:
Single, but I’ve got some really promising poke wars in the works.
Something we don’t know about you?
In the past four years I’ve been enrolled at four different colleges.
Why Bates?
I went to a high school with over 3000 students and wanted a college with a big emphasis on community, and really loved my Bates visit. I also look darn good in garnet and would be lying if I said that wasn’t considered.
Who is your spirit animal?
Dante Colicchio.
What are some of your hobbies?
Skiing, playing tennis, schooling James Wyatt and Sam Polito in settlers of Catan, and working out at the brown house gym. Look out for my new bodybuilding Instagram account. The handle you ask? @body_by_brown_house.
Describe a dream date:
7/11 Slurpees, Pizza Lunchables, and a Netflix sponsored trip to Pawnee, Indiana.
Give us your best pick-up line:
Damn girl are you sitting on that F5 key? Cause that ass is refreshing.
Guilty pleasure?
I’m a huge A Song of Ice and Fire nerd, come find me if you ever want to talk fan theories.
Is there anything you wished would come back into fashion?
Powdered wigs, my collection is starting to build up some dust in the closet.
Any plans for after graduation?
I’m going on a trip to Israel with friends from high school for 18 days, and then moving back to New York to start working.
What was your first thought when you woke up this morning?
**this afternoon**
Something you can’t live without?
Coffee, the members of the Brown-77 alliance, and the hauntingly beautiful lyrics of Young Thug.
Something on your short term bucket list?
Graduating college.
If you could fly anywhere tomorrow, where would you go and why?
I would go back to Copenhagen, I loved studying abroad there and 4 months wasn’t nearly enough.
Favorite class at Bates?
Easy, Viking battle reenactment. Hitting your friends with duct tape weapons can be very therapeutic.
Style inspiration?
Henry Steckel. No one else can quite pull of Timbs and ball shorts like him.
Celebrity crush?
No one does it for me like Rihanna.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I don’t know if you’ve seen the music video for “Throw Some D’s”, by Rich Boy but it would probably look something like that.
What’s your theme song?
White Iverson by Post Malone.
Favorite food?
NYC pizza for sure.

The O.C, I aspire to be like Seth Cohen.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I figure I have until I’m like 33 to make the NFL so probably training for the combine.

Avoid campus like the plague.
Favorite quote?
“Hey do you want to be campus cutie?” – Audrey Zafirson
Gil, thanks for being you and making Bates great!
