10 Songs for a Study Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Just when you think you have hit your lowest low of studying, blast these girl power songs, have a dance break, a sing along, and get your head back in the game to ace your finals and start the summer!

1.  “Put Your Records On” – Corrine Baily Rae

Let your hair out of that messy bun and put a smile on your face.

2.  “Shake It Out” – Florence and the Machine

Literally shake it out… we all know those Bapst chairs are not comfortable.

3.  “Since You Been Gone” – Kelly Clarkson

Who doesn’t love singing this song at the top of their lungs to let off some steam?I know I do.

4.  “Schoolin’ Life” – BeyoncĂ©

There is no such thing as a good playlist without some Beyoncé.But, you still need a degree while you’re schoolin’ life.

5.  “I’ll Be Waiting” – Adele

Unlike most of Adele’s songs that make you want to cry, this song will pump you up for your next few hours of studying.

6.  “I Love It” – Icona Pop

Along with most of BC, I am obsessed with this song.Plus, you can’t help but dance when it comes on.

7.  “Silver Lining” – Rilo Kiley

Think of the silver lining… in just a few days it will be summer and you can be on the beach somewhere!

8.  “All I Wanna Do” – Sheryl Crow

Always a great throwback to get ready for the warm weather!

9.  “Summerboy” – Lady Gaga

Dream about that summer fling you plan on finding this summer as you painfully start thinking about your bio flashcards again.

10.  “Hold On” – Alabama Shakes

YOU CAN DO THIS, JUST HOLD ON!!!
