When I told my friends I was going to Las Vegas for Spring Break, the majority of them laughed. I’m not a huge drinking gal (the occasional glass of wine is plenty). So, Sin City seems like the an odd vacay spot for someone like me.
But there are plenty of things to do in Sin City that don’t involve drinking and gambling.
1. Canyon Ranch Spa
Canyon Ranch, the leading wellness all-inclusive spa resort known for its healthy meals and relaxing massages, has two day spa facilities in Vegas: one at the Venetian and one at the Palazzo. Enjoy sea scrubs, aromatherapy treatments, deep-cleansing facials, and more!
2. Showdown Shopping
Visit the Las Vegas Premium Outlets or the Fashion Mall for hundreds of clothing store options, ranging from Urban Outfitters to Kate Spade to Nike.
3. Chow down in Venice, Italy
Inside the Venetian is a recreation of Venice, Italy: a canal filled with gondolas. You can ride a four-person shared gondola for $21 per person. Or, eat at Italian restaurant Canaletto Restaurante Veneto. Drink some Prosecco, order a plate of pasta, and watch the gondoliers sing to their riding patrons.
4. Museum Madness
While Vegas is known for its shows, it also boasts some fun museums. Visit the Mob Museum. It’s a three-storied museum with over 1,000 artifacts that tell the story of the Mob in the U.S. and its part in Vegas’ history. A Crime Lab Exhibit was recently added to the museum’s interactive attractions.
5. Slotzilla Zipline
Zipline down the middle of a Vegas mall. For $25, zipline for 2 blocks over Vegas’ shoppers and drinkers. It’s a thrill! (Just make sure to wear pants or shorts!)
Cheers and enjoy (without drinking)!
