5 Things to Love About Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

1. The weather

There’s something about fall weather that is just absolutely perfect. Whether it’s the chilly mornings and crisp afternoons, or the cozy sweaters and comfy leggings, it seems like every day in fall is amazing. With the leaves changing and the days growing colder, fall is the perfect temperature before the harsh reality of winter sets in.

2. Pumpkin Everything!

Pumpkin is hands-down, no competition the best flavor ever. From muffins to bread to pies to lattes, it seems like everything just gets better with a little pumpkin added. Pumpkin Spice lattes really deserve their own post, but I digress.  And don’t forget about pumpkin carving! With the amount of pumpkin patches around here, carving pumpkins is definitely a necessity, and make sure to save the seeds to roast later, yummy!

3. Boots, Scarves, and Leggings

While I love sandals as much as the next girl, boots are definitely my favorite footwear of choice and particularly when there are leggings tucked into them. Fall is the perfect time to drag out those riding boots and ankle booties and start incorporating them into your favorite cozy outfits, especially here at BC! Scarves are also a great addition to any BC girl’s wardrobe as they are perfect to throw on any plain outfit to make it cuter. And leggings need no explanation; they’re perfect on their own.

4. TV Shows

One very important part of fall is the season premiere of everyone’s favorite shows! After waiting all summer, you finally get to find out what happened to your favorite characters, and how their stories will continue to unfold. What will happen after everyone finds about Olivia Pope’s affair with the president? Are Nick and Jess on or off? Plus these shows give us all endless amounts of Hulu to catch up on in the library while we’re procrastinating.

5. Halloween

Halloween is basically the best holiday in college, (besides St. Patrick’s day in Boston of course.) It seems like from Columbus day onward, there are Halloween themed parties every weekend to take advantage of the million ways you can adapt your going out wardrobe to be a costume. Plus who doesn’t think that little kids dressed up in costumes are the cutest? Don’t worry they go out at like 3 pm so you can still see some hanging around BC before you head out for the night!
