At this day in age and at this point in our young 20-something lives, it might not be clear to us if true love really does exist. This might sound a little cynical, but it seems like hearts are being broken left and right. I’m a pretty jaded person, but these places never fail to make me believe that true love does exist.

1.     Airports

Every time I have ever seen a couple or a family reuniting outside of the baggage claim, my icy heart melts. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing two people run into each other’s arms in the airport.

2.     Train Stations

The same goes for train stations, but instead of seeing couples reunite, seeing them have to say goodbye moves my heart to believe that there is love in the world. They cry, they kiss, they say goodbye, and then the person boarding runs back, and sometimes they repeat as necessary until the train leaves. I saw this many times in European train stations while I was studying abroad.

3.     Military Reunions

Anytime I see a military reunion – online or in person – I am always moved to tears. When mothers or fathers in the military surprise their children and their significant others, and the children’s and the waiting spouse’s faces light up. That look of joy, relief, and pure love shows that love does exist in the world.

4.     Basically Anywhere in Europe

Walk anywhere in Paris and you will instantly believe that there is love in the world. Couples stroll through parks, sit in adoration of each other on benches, and do basically anything else there is to do in this City of Love, named quite accurately. Also, pretty much everywhere in Italy will make you believe in love. Go to the Villa Borghese in Rome, or take a gondola in Venice, or Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence. People are always taking wedding photos here, too.

5.     Old Couples

Couples who have stayed together for their entire lives make me truly believe in love. Their long-lasting love is like a Nicholas Sparks novel in real life.

Where in the world do you find love? Are there any places in particular where love is evident to you?
