How’s your experience on the Skating Team?
“I love the skating team. For me, I’ve had the chance to kind of explore a different side of skating because I was always a single or partner skater. I’ve never done synchro so doing a skating with other people is new. Also, I’ve never been able to do sports at school because in high school there’s was no skating team, so I can finally do a team sport and represent my school.”
Do you feel there is pressure to be thin being at BC?
“Not necessarily pressure, but it’s definitely a big part of campus culture here. Everyone works out… so many people do club sports and intramurals. It is a very athletic school. I think it’s more motivating than anything.”
Do you have any advice for people who are trying to be more fit in the New Year?
“Yes. (smiles) Make it a gradual process. Ease yourself into it. And find something you really enjoy doing because you don’t have to run an hour on the treadmill to be fit. There’s so many ways to be active and get into shape.”
