Finals Snack Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Finals week is right around the corner and we all know what that means: hours logged in our favorite study spots and desperately searching for any excuse to procrastinate. Let’s forget about the endless snacking we do to keep focused during this time. As the daughter of a nutritionist, I would like to take a moment to create a guide to “eating for success” this finals season. Here are the best things to eat/drink to ace those pesky exams!

Avocado

Avocados are filled with vitamins that are known for increasing the retention rate of the brain. Enjoy this yummy snack and boost your brainpower to help you remember what your need to know to ace that big exam.

Blueberries

Blueberries contain an antioxidant that strengthens communication within the brain helping to promote the body’s ability to remember information.

Dark Chocolate

Indulge your sweet tooth and stay sane with this delicious treat. Dark chocolate has natural stimulants to help you stay alert while studying and its antioxidants will help to boost your mood when studying gets stressful.

Tea

Trade a cup of joe in for a cup of tea this finals season. Lift your energy levels and calm your nerves with this nice warm drink.

Salmon

Try a piece of salmon for dinner this finals week. Rich with omega-3 fatty acids, salmon is known as a food that can increase brain functions to help you succeed!

Eggs

Breakfast cures all ills, especially during study time. The proteins found in eggs will help to boost your brain function and memory and ace these exams.

Milk

Channel your inner child and drink some milk to help your muscles to relax and reduce stress levels.

With these snacks, a great study playlist and a little effort we will all ace our finals this semester. Good luck!
