Who doesn’t love Disney’s newest girl power princess movie? (Seriously…who doesn’t, because I think you should reevaluate). So when I was watching the movie for the fifth (hundredth) time I didn’t think I would find anything new to like, but then I realized that both of the girls have multiple awesome hairstyles! Of course they are done with that perfect Disney cartoon hair but I wanted to see if I could pull them off in real life, so I looked online and discovered that there are tons of tutorials for each hairstyle (mostly directed toward young girls or their mothers but I think also helpful for the fancy occasions in a 20-something girl’s life). Here are some that I thought were the best (and easiest):
Anna’s Coronation Updo:
In the movie, Anna goes from looking like a complete mess to having this perfect hairstyle in literally .5 seconds. When I tried it out I was not as successful but hopefully you will have more luck!
Elsa’s Coronation Updo:
Once again, this look is a bit complex for me because I lack the patience and focus required to execute it (if you know me you have probably NEVER seen my hair actually ‘done’) but if you have a fancy event to go to this would be a great style to use. Also, it’s a great way to save money on going to get your hair done!
Elsa’s Braid:
By far my favorite hairstyle of the movie, for one because I rocked the ‘side-braid’ throughout most of high school (though it looked just a liiiittle bit messier than Elsa’s) and two, because this is what Elsa’s hair effortlessly transforms into when she “Let It Go” during the movie’s most famous power ballad.
Try these out if you want to embrace your inner princess as well as the winter cold! (It never bothered you anyway!)
