There is nothing that gets BC students more excited than game days! The energy is felt from upper through the mods, all the way to the tailgates on Foster and Gerald. As amazing as game days are, there is something that has always bothered me. Everyone wears the same thing! It’s easy to get lost in a sea of Superfan shirts or burgundy pullovers. Now, we definitely don’t have a culture of dressing up for game days, that doesn’t mean we can’t get creative with our outfits!
The best place to start is to wear normal clothes but in BC colors! Leggings and a burgundy sweater, or maroon pants and a white top are two extremely versatile looks that would make you stand out on game day. One of my favorite looks from the first football game of the year was a girl who cut the sleeves off of an oversized BC football t-shirt and wore it as a dress! It was so creative and something that I would never think to do.
Finally, the easiest way to make your game day outfit your own is to add accessories! The bookstore makes this possible by selling colored beads, bows, socks, and really cute BC tattoos! Put away that Superfan shirt next game day and challenge yourself to be a little more creative.
