Arm candy stands as one of this season’s biggest trends, and one of the best ways to dress up any outfit. Bracelets on bracelets on bracelets, and the occasional watch! If you don’t know how to build arm candy, I am going to break it down for you in four easy steps, and feed your online shopping addiction simultaneously.
Step One:
Start with a watch. The watch can be any color; However, I usually prefer gold or silver just to match a majority of bracelets out there.
Splurge: Definitely adding this to next year’s Christmas list! Michael Kors Mid-Size Golden Acetate Runway Twist Watch $225.00
Save: Classic Oversized Watch in Gold from Forever 21 $22.80
Step Two:
Find a smaller, thinner bracelet that matches the watch’s links or time face.
Splurge: Not an extreme splurge, but hey, we’re in college! Kate Spade Tickle the Ivories Bangle for $32.00
Save: Capsule by Cära Colored Stone and Pyramid Stretch Bracelet – White/Gold from Target $14.99
Step Three:
Add a medium sized bracelet. It should be somewhat smaller or the same size as the watch.
Splurge: J.Crew’s Classic Pavé Link Bracelet $125.00
Save: Target strikes again! Pave Stone Link Bracelet-Gold $19.99
Dirt Cheap: H&M’s Chain Bracelet for $4.95
Step Four:
You can either add another medium-sized bracelet or another small one. A bracelet that has unique details or a different texture would work well.
Splurge: Bringing it back to Boston with Alex and Ani’s Love Wrap Bracelet for $48.00
Save: Forever 21’s Eclectic Feather Rope Bracelet in Cream/Gold $4.80
Now, go flaunt your arm candy! In order to avoid awkward hand writing, be sure to adorn your arm candy on the arm you use the least! Right-handed ladies, wear your arm candy on the left. And left-handed ladies, arm candy on the right. Follow these four steps and you can give any outfit a little “uumph!”
