‘Tis the season for holiday parties! It’s the time of year when ugly sweaters, peppermint schnapps, and Christmas lights become appropriate and Elf becomes a TV phenomenon. BC kids love their Christmas parties, especially when these things listed below are involved! Use them to throw your friends the best holiday party ever and outshine everyone else.
1. Baked Goods!
All of the best holiday parties have yummy treats for their guests! Sugar cookies in fun Christmas or Hanukkah shapes are always a hit, and this year I even made chocolate chip cookie bars. The more obvious choice is also to make gingerbread cookies.
2. Jell-O Shots!
It’s easy to look up how to make holiday Jell-O shots. One really good website we used for our party was at: http://drink.betterrecipes.com…, and they turned out pretty good! They have candy cane, mistletoe, and even apple pie shots, which we attempted ourselves.
3. Decorations!
This is my favorite part of throwing a party—decorating! Christmas lights are obviously a huge plus, and they’re pretty cheap at CVS! We bought little sparkly snowflakes to hang from our ceiling, as well as mini candy canes to spread on our couches and tables. And, of course, there is the mistletoe that needs to be hung from the door.
4. Christmas Playlist!
No, this does not mean only Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas and that song by TSwift.
5. Ugly Sweaters!
Only the ugliest sweaters make the cut. We’re talking snowmen, reindeer, and maybe even a huge menorah. Go here for some inspiration: http://www.myuglychristmasswea…
Happy Holidays, Collegiettes!
