As a self-proclaimed wizard with a curling wand, I make it a priority to keep up to date on seasonal hair trends. While my personal go-to hairdo is the bouncy curl (LOVE my Conair curling wand), every once in a while I like to change my ‘do. After scouring some fashion magazines and watching the Armani Winter Fashion Show, I’ve composed a list of some popular “mop” fads to try.
1. Long Bob
If you’re adventurous enough to take a snip to your locks, consider this flirty length. A bob that hits the collarbone will not only frame your face but will still allow you to twist your hair into a pony on the way to spin class.
2. Middle Part
Yes, the middle part is back. You can style your hair either curly or flat, depending on your mood.
3. Side Swept
Ariana Grande would probably agree; partin’ from side to side. While the idea of side bangs may remind you of middle school dances and Avril Lavigne singing Sk8r Boi, this hairdo has reappeared in the fashion world (and I kind of dig it).
4. Tribal Inspired Braids
While the classic braid and fishtail are easy to manage when in a rush, tribal braids have made a recent appearance in the fashion world. Perfect for when you decide to opt for dry shampoo, these funky braids will instantly garner you some attention from your classmates.
5. Half-up / Half-down
As some of you probably know, seventies-inspired looks have been all the rage this fall. Translate this trend to your mane next time you wear your bellbottoms. If you’re feeling extra bold, try teasing the hair around your crown for some added volume.
So, try some of these styles and let your hair be the mane attraction!
