Dear BC Reslife,

First off, I just want to thank you for giving me four years of housing with my acceptance letter. It was nice not scrambling to sign a lease in October and find people that early in the school year to share a house with. That said, most of my friends are living off campus next year. How could you do that to me? Now I have to take the Comm Ave bus every time I want to hang out with them! During the winter!

And , what was the whole deal last year with that housing lottery? I sat in Mac for HOURS with my eight-man praying for a pick-time! Just to end up with a double on CoRo! I may as well live in Greycliff! It’s closer to Lower anyway; at least then I’d see my friends more, eat in Lower, and avoid the freshmen crowd! And don’t get me started on how I’m still living with a communal bathroom. Those bathrooms are a punishment I do not deserve.

I have to wear snow boots and a winter coat when I go to a party in winter. Do you know how embarrassing that is? Everyone’s wearing cute booties and I have to mentally prepare for a tipsy hike back up CoRo hill!

And now it’s the end of January. The time to choose living arrangements next year is upon us. Reslife, you have broken many, sending them abroad or off-campus, to a point where they won’t come back to campus for their fourth year! So I’m asking, nicely, that my squad and I get a nice six-man suite…maybe Stayer? And, pretty please, maybe a Mod senior year?

Also, be gentle with the freshmen. Every March, Mac becomes a lair of savagery and hostility, with threats of transferring ringing throughout campus. I understand that the supply of eight-mans on campus can’t meet the demand, but give them the strength to hold onto the hope of a six- or four-man. Pray that they see how convenient Roncalli’s location is – close to Eagle’s Nest and closer to classes.

Also, thanks for the new building on Comm Ave. It’s looking great! (And I was starting to get concerned for my safety when I’d visit Edmonds.)
