Playlist of the Week: Summer Songs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Welcome back to the heights!  I hope everyone enjoyed their long lazy days spent at the beach or, in other cases, their long, never-ending days at various internships or jobs.  No matter how you spent your summer, it’s time to face the cold, hard fact that the warm weather and care-free syllabus week attitude in Boston will probably last a maximum of two to three weeks.  Soon you will have to let go of days you can sleep until noon, and instead oversleep till noon and then to head to Bapst.

I don’t mean to be a downer to all of you out there – fall at BC is full of so many great things (football! new housing! New England Classics!) that, to me, are well worth the sacrifice of the tan that I never get anyway.  But, for those who have a little more trouble letting go of all that May through August has brought them, here is a playlist that will hopefully recapture some of those goodtime summer vibes.  If nothing else, it will be a great soundtrack to all of the new fall activities you are gearing up for – just promise to try and wake up before noon to listen to it.

“Dancing in the Moonlight” – Toploader
“Fences” (Earthmoonearth remix) – Phoenix
“Orange Shirt “– Discovery
“Love Letter” – Shwayze (Ft. The Cataracs & Dev)
“Crave You” – Flight Facilities
“Que Que” – Dillon Francis
“Vagabond” – Wolfmother
“I Hate Parties” – Charles Hamilton
