It seemed as soon as October 15th hit, the entire campus was lit up with Christmas lights. From colored, to blinking, to the classic white stringed lights, BC’s Snap Story was filled with celebration and even Christmas music for this monumental annual event. While my roommates and I have all dug our Christmas lights out from the back of our closets and hung them accordingly, we haven’t forgotten that Halloween is just around the corner. If you were able to buy a pumpkin from a patch or the supermarket within these last few weeks, I bet you that your big, orange, overpriced gourd is still sitting there in your room/mod/apartment completely untouched. It’s one thing if you hate the feeling of pumpkin guts on your hands or facing the certain task of cleaning up after carving a pumpkin that deters you from participating in this tradition. However, if it’s sheer lack of inspiration or artistic ability with knives that makes you nervous to potentially ‘ruin’ your prized pumpkin, I have just made things much easier for you and given you another way to show your BC Pride for the upcoming Halloween football game!
For those of you who have never used templates when carving a pumpkin before:
1. Print out the template on normal sized printer paper
2. Tape onto pumpkin
3. Carve out the black sections of the template and leave the white, moving from the smaller black sections to the larger
4. Peel off the template and voila!

Just remember to use fake candles or a flashlight to light up your creation – not real candles. Enjoy!
