Great news for all; Thanksgiving is coming! It’s arguably the best day of the year because we can unapologetically gorge ourselves on carbs, pie, wine, and maybe a few vegetables (hopefully with cheese on top). More than food, Thanksgiving is about family bonding, reflecting on what we’re most thankful for, and taking a breather from daily life. But if I’m being honest, it’s mostly about the food, at least for me, so that’s what we’re focusing on today! Read on for some incredible Thanksgiving recipes that put twists on the classics and are sure to please all of your guests.
Whole wheat toasted almond pumpkin muffins to start off the day on a positive, seemingly-healthy note.
Moroccan butternut squash goat cheese soup with coconut ginger cream and pistachios for the most incredible first course you’ve ever had.
Brussel sprouts and chestnuts in brown butter because Oh. My. God.
Sourdough stuffing with mushrooms, apples, and sage. Carbscarbscarbs. But apples and sage so it’s basically a fruit.
Butternut squash risotto that’s respectably healthy and who doesn’t love squash?
Because pie can get repetitive, how about sweet potato cake with marshmallow frosting? I would.
Amaretti brown butter pear crisp because pears are the bomb.com and brown butter and crisp and then we can put ice cream on it and call it a day.
