Twelve Days of Christmas Cats

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

We’re all fairly familiar with the “Twelve Days of Christmas” song. As beautiful as the song sounds, I’m not sure if I’d be that excited to receive some turtledoves or French hens. Cats, on the other hand, would really float my boat. Therefore, I present to you the “Twelve Days of Christmas Cats” in a condensed version:

On the first day of Christmas, two elves said they’d foresee

What my Christmas gifts this year might be.

On the second day of Christmas a cat climbed gracefully,

To grab the star and hug it forcefully.

On the third day of Christmas the cat yelled cheerfully,

“Santa’s coming, oh em gee!”

On the fourth day of Christmas the lights grabbed my kitty,

He looked at them oh, so thoughtfully.

On the fifth day of Christmas the Nutcracker gave me,

A cat that danced with him so beautifully.

On the sixth day of Christmas, a kitty said to me,

“Please help me out immediately!”

On the seventh day of Christmas my cat poked playfully,

An ornament on the Christmas tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas two cats were shocked to see,

Santa climbing down the chimney.

On the ninth day of Christmas Rudolph approached me:

“Hello ma’am, will you fly with me?”

On the tenth day of Christmas two kittens had some tea,

And left on a date which was a mystery.

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me:

A kitty staring at the Christmas tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my kitty was happy,

“Meowy Christmas all of thee!”

I think that last cat said it best. Have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
