Little 6-year-old Tiana became not only a YouTube sensation, but also, a huge hit on Facebook. With over 14 million views on Facebook and over 6 million of views on YouTube, this young girl has brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Though her words are laughable at times, her wisdom and presence may even surpass my own. Divorce is not an easy process, especially for a child that young, but the way that she speaks to her mother, is as if my own mother was talking to me.Â
When she says, “If I can be nice, I think all of us can be nice too,” I just want to hug her.
“I’m not trying to be mean, but I am trying to do my best in my heart…I want everyone to be smiling…Especially when I see someone, I want them to smile.” For a girl that still wears bunnies on her shirts, her words surpass her age.Â
“And if we live in a world where everyone’s being mean, everyone’s going to be a monster…I just want everything to be settled down. I want everything to be as good as possible. Nothing else.” All she wants is good in the world and for people to stop acting like monsters. If only she knew about all the real monsters we have in today’s society, she could teach them a thing or two about being nice.
“I’m not trying to be mean, I’m not trying to be a bully. I’m trying to be steady…on the floor. Not way down, on straight.” When she said she’s trying to be “steady”, I keep thinking that she means “neutral”. Giving relationship to her mother may come off as her taking sides, but she wants her mom to know that she loves her and she will tell her the truth. I wonder if Tiana knows that she is telling truths left and right.
I wish I could live in a world like Tiana’s, where everyone is smiling and still wears bunnies. Honestly though, how sweet is she? If you haven’t fallen in love with her yet, maybe you should watch or re-watch the video here.Â
