I know with all of us nearing the end of the school year that we need a vacation. We’re stressed, tired, and way too overbooked. So why not go to The Inn at Christmas Place for that Christmas in July feeling? The Inn at Christmas Place is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee which is a three and a half hours away from Nashville. It’s close enough to drive, but far enough to be a vacation.
The Christmas Place actually started out as a small gift shop in Pigeon Forge in 1986 by Hurshel and Marian Briggs. Over the years, it has been honored with several awards including the “NOEL Retailer of the Year” as well as been recognized for the significant contributions to the Christmas Decoration Industry. This whole company has been based on the importance of Christmas and its meaning to families. This store eventually expanded to a hotel across the street.
This past Easter, my family and I stayed at The Inn at Christmas Place. From the moment, you pull up to the hotel; you are greeted by Christmas decorations. If you show up at night, like we did, then all the lights will be twinkling as well. Then you enter the lobby where it looks like the living room of a Hallmark movie. There’s a fireplace, a giant Christmas tree, and decorations filling every nook and cranny. Nothing gets more nostalgic than that. Once you’ve gotten your room key, you can open the door to your Christmas themed bedroom. There’s a Christmas themed bedspread and decorations around the room.
The stay is just as nice. The service is always friendly, and filled with holiday cheer. There is a complimentary breakfast and regular Santa visits. Across the street is The Incredible Christmas Place Store where you can shop for every Christmas decoration imaginable. When you walk in, it’s like a winter wonderland.
Another reason to come here is the local attractions. This hotel just happens to be in the middle of all the local attractions of Pigeon Forge. There is the Titanic Museum, The Hollywood Wax Museum, WonderWorks Indoor Amusement Park, Alcatraz East Crime Museum, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, Dollywood, Hatfield and McCoy’s Dinner Show, and so much more.
I had such an amazing time at The Inn at Christmas Place that I know we’ll be back again soon!
