This week’s campus celeb is alumni Bret Kuchenbecker. He is currently working for Philpott Ball & Werner as an Investment Banking Analyst. One way Bentley prepared him for the working world is by instilling group projects and assignments in almost every class. The experience has proved very beneficial in the professional workplace as you are often tasked to work in teams. Bret’s best Bentley experience was studying abroad his spring semester of his junior year. He lived in Barcelona with his three closest friends and was able to travel throughout Europe during the four month stay. When asked what advice he would give to Bentley students, he said: “My top advice would be that every student seriously considers the study abroad options that Bentley offers. Whether it be for a semester or summer program, the opportunity to live in another part of the world and not have the responsibility of a job is rare, and I believe should be taken advantage of.” Thinking about the future, he says that he hopes in ten years he will have a family and continue to work in a field that he enjoys.
