We all do it –  walk, to our 8:30 a.m. class, bundled up in four layers, still freezing our butts off and think, “I wish I could be somewhere warm.” I know I fantasize about tropical vacations every day that I need to put on my Uggs and trek around the tundra our campus has turned into. Obviously, I’m not making it south anytime soon, so when I decide to torture myself by looking online at vacations, I am really  not concerned about how expensive my destination actually is. Here are just a few of the most outrageous and pricey escapes I have found, that maybe, will give you some more motivation to work hard for that Bentley degree so you can afford a trip like this one day… (maybe).

The Rosewood Little Dix Bay Resort
Located in the British Virgin Islands is the gorgeous beachside resort Rosewood Little Dix Bay. This phenomenal resort is so over-the-top luxurious, it seems only for anyone with more money than the  Queen of England. This resort is so pricey in fact, that I could not even find the room prices on the website (clearly if you are looking, price isn’t exactly a concern). Little Dix Bay has extraordinary packages with massages, five star meals, and cocktail cruises at sunset; clearly the ultimate place to honeymoon for the rich and famous.

Over Water Bungalow: Bora Bora
Being one of those people who knows more about Kim Kardashian than possibly some of my own friends, I drooled over the vacation the Kardashian clan took to Bora Bora. I immediately had to look up this resort and find out what kind of place it was, since it looked like some weird kind of floating huts. Turns out that they were staying in Over Water Bungalows, huts on stilts, overlooking a clear lagoon and miles of green ocean, framed by lava rock mountains. Imagine lying in bed and being able to open your curtain to a view that feels as if you are floating on top of the water. The price for one of these starts at $2,700  a night, per person, so I’ll have to stick with looking at pictures of it online until I get invited to the next Kardashian family vacation.

The Island of Musha Cay
One resort, however, goes above and beyond all others for the ultimate tropical experience. I HIGHLY recommend you click this link to the website of The Island of Musha Cay, turn up the volume, lie back and relax as they give you a full experience of the paradise you could receive… if you had the option of paying $24,750  per day. This island has over 700 acres of white sandy beaches, paths of tropical flowers and palm trees, hidden coves, and beaches that lead into a clear blue sea with no other land in sight. The greatest thing about the resort? Only 24 guests at a time are allowed, and you get to pick who they are. This island is all about privacy, even though you will still be waited on, hand and foot. It has been used by celebrities and prominent business leaders for important events, so keep working hard in that economics class you want to quit , if you ever want to experience the most expensive tropical Island in the world.
