The seasons changing can get everyone a little down in the dumps – even if you’re looking forward to the holidays and everything the winter holds. With Daylight Savings at an end, people’s moods get down, just like the sun in the middle of the afternoon. But, just because there is less sunlight does not mean there should be less happiness in your life! Here are a few tips to get prepared for the change in seasons to keep yourself going in the shorter days:
- Wake up five minutes earlier: Giving yourself an extra five minutes before class to do something you never find time to do. Maybe make sure you get some breakfast, or do a short meditation to boost your energy.
- Dress a little nicer: Wearing a cute sweater or just ditching the sweatpants could give a confidence boost for classes. Getting more confidence will make your days feel better and you’ll have just the bit of motivation you need to tackle the day.
- Invest in a sun lamp: The rays can’t always be with us 24/7, but it can come a lot closer with one of the lamps in your life. Even sitting in front of it for a few minutes can be a mood booster and give you happy summer vibes.
- Find something to look forward to at night: Whether it’s a club meeting or having personal time, giving yourself something to reward yourself at the end of a long day will make you look forward to getting all your work done.
