It’s officially spooky season! This means everyone will be bringing out the Halloween movies pretty soon… however I’m not a spooky movie fan, so these are the movies I will be forcing everyone to watch with me this Halloween season :)

I HIGHLY suggest these movies if you wanna have a fun and cozy night in, snuggled up to your best friends, significant other, family, etc!

And while this is all my opinion, I will not be accepting criticism on these movie choices. THANKS!

1. Coraline

Coraline is easily one of my favorite movies ever. The graphics, storyline and animations are captivating and mysterious. The bone chilling image of buttons-for-eyes will get trapped in your head. Why don’t you go take a step through the door you’re scared to open. Who knows, maybe you’ll find a whole new world behind it! Also.. let me know what color button you’d choose: pink, vermillion, or chartreuse?

2. Halloweentown

Yeah this is easily one of the best Halloween movies ever. You cannot tell me otherwise. Marnie is living out every tweens dreams: She’s a witch with magical powers! But she has a lot of responsibility on her hands… Can she handle it?

3. Hocus Pocus

Another classic Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus has everything you need in a spooky night. Great costumes, creepy witches, and a little bit of cringy teenage romance. The perfect movie for people of all ages, you can’t go wrong with it! What says Halloween more than 3 wacky witches?

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Does this count as a Halloween movie? I don’t know, but it made it on the list! One of my favorite Halloween movies, with the most adorable message intertwined: Even if one fails at a great quest, the effort is still worth it.

5. Beetlejuice

I know almost every single lyric to every single song, and I am not ashamed of it one bit. This is one of my favorite movies, and being able to see it on Broadway was one of my favorite moments ever.

6. Addams Family

This is a pretty obvious pick, one that I insist on watching every year. It’s been a pretty apparent classic, especially since Wednesday recently came out. The movie itself is great, just a family of weirdos being themselves. As their theme songs say, they’re “mysterious and spooky” and it’ll stay that way.

7. Goosebumps

Goosebumps is a very interesting movie. Lots of weird, funny, silly interpretations of RL Stine’s books. So funny and goofy that this makes the perfect Halloween movie to watch with your friends. Can you keep all those monsters at bay, because I surely wouldn’t be able to.

8. Ghostbusters

A perfect balance between “horror” and comedy, ghostbusters will be sure to leave you giggling and kicking your feet. The perfect movie to watch that’s not too scary but Halloween enough!

9. Hubie Halloween

This is a new one as of recently… but… it’s already a favorite. Who doesn’t love Adam Sandler?! It’s such a funny movie which took place here in (Salem) Massachusetts! Sandler’s humor makes the movie so much better and it’s definitely a must watch now.

10. Casper

If you don’t know Casper the friendly ghost, you’re most likely living under a rock. This is a movie about his story. Such a cute movie, with an even cuter main character!

I hope you enjoy these movies as much as I do! If anyone wants to plan a movie night… let me know!
