I am a Revlon girlie through and through. I use my brush whenever I’m having a bad hair day…I mean my hair goes from a complete mess to a cute blowout in 5 minutes. With the Revlon, you definitely get amazing results for a tool that costs less than $50. But we all know that it isn’t the best for maintaining healthy hair. So when my roommate got a Dyson over winter break, I had to try it.
And as ashamed as I may be, I loved it. The best thing about it was how fast it dried my hair (my roots especially). I feel like my roots are never 100% dry when I blow my hair out, no matter how hard I try. I used the brush attachment to give myself a bouncy blowout look and it dried my roots so fast. Without having to worry about making sure my roots were totally dry, I was able to focus on the ends and making them as bouncy as possibly… and they did turn out perfect.
The end result was gorgeous. My hair was shiny and there was no frizz at the top. The ends of my hair were bouncy and had so much more volume than normal. Sadly, it was a look that my Revlon couldn’t achieve (though I think she could come pretty close).
I loved using the Dyson. It was fairly easy to use, though I haven’t attempted the curling wand attachments yet, and so much better for your hair. The only thing that is stopping me from buying it is the price tag…It is just not worth $600. If it was more like $300, I might just bite the bullet and buy it. But $600 is crazy and I am just not paying it.
Good thing I have my roomie!
