I conducted my campus cutie interview with Max during Sunday brunch. Over a plate of eggs and ranch, Max discussed his hobbies and goals and bragged about his lovely girlfriend, Laurine.
HC: What do you look for in a potential partner?MW: “I look for a girl who is mature, caring, and intelligent. It’s very attractive when she can teach me about a subject or topic that I don’t know. She should also be cute and funny. I love it when someone accepts my weirdness and is comfortable being weird around me, too.”
HC: What are some of your biggest turn-offs?MW: “Hmm… I hate it when girls are full of themselves and arrogant. I also dislike it when girls are very clique-y.”
HC: What would you do on your dream date?MW: “Well, my Valentine’s Day plan for my girlfriend was EPIC! I got her flowers, jewelry, and chocolate-covered strawberries, and then we ate dinner at Trattoria Athena. Then, we wrote our wishes on Chinese floating lanterns using calligraphy brushes and released the lanterns into the midnight sky. (Author’s note: male readers, take note).”
HC: What’s your best quality?MW: “I’m extremely committed to making my girlfriend happy. I’m also very rational and realistic.”
HC: What are some causes or issues that matter to you?MW: “Habitat for Humanity. This international organization builds houses for families in need. I love seeing the direct manifestations of my efforts having a tangible impact on the lives of others.”
HC: What’s a fun fact about you?MW: “I’ve never eaten at Taco Bell. I (currently) only have two things on my bucket list: to build my own house and to build my own car.”
HC: Do you have advice for anyone that wants to get to know you better?MW: “Be direct. Or brew me a beer that tells me a little about yourself. Belgian blond, dark nutty stout, or an Irish red…the possibilities are endless.”
