It’s her thick… cerebral cortex.
It works overtime to rationalize her thoughts.
While others work overtime to misunderstand what is not.
Like a superhero saving the day,
Our women work hard for little pay.
She’s done with overthinking,
With that awkward social shrinking.
Obsessed with success.
While upset and depressed.
She never felt amused, yet she’s always entertained.
She got so lost in her thoughts that she’s running from her brain.
She mingles peacefully into who knows where.
Wait, who goes there?
A place nobody knows,
Somebody goes.
Make some room,
For the women who carry the world in their womb.
Shine a light,
For the mothers that held you close at night.
Raise a glass,
For the winnings and the lessons of the past.
Don’t be her inspiration.
Instead, let’s change this situation.
Because why did Women’s Suffrage last for almost a century?
And why does the world insist she’s the enemy?
She’s unyielding and relentless, working for a change.
She told HERstory, hoping the next one hundred years aren’t the same.
