I am so excited for my sophomore year, and this semester especially. There are so many new and exciting things that are happening, and here are my top three.
3.) My Classes
Since most of my gen-eds are complete, I am finally taking classes I am actually interested in and want to learn more about. Most of these classes are really going to push me forward in forensic psychology, and I am so excited. I’m also taking my first online class in college, and I am a little nervous about it. However, I know it will work out. Another bonus is I don’t have any Wednesday or Friday classes which I’m very happy about.
2.) Being an Assistant Residental Advisor
Last semester I worked so hard on my application and interviews, and it paid off because I got the job! This semester I am an ARA, which is an Assistant Resident Advisor. I’ve only gone through the training weeks and two weeks of actually being an ARA and I am so glad I applied. Through res-life I have already met so many great people and it is such a great community to join on campus. I highly recommend applying if you are interested because it might be a lot of work sometimes, but it’s worth it. I am also excited to plan more events for my floor, talk to residents and help curate a positive and fun place on campus.
1.) Being a Club President
Starting this semester I am the club president of Hilltop Films, and I’m nervous — to say the least. I have put so many hours of planning into this club, and running a club is a lot of work. I have large amounts of respect for club presidents because I never realized how much work truly goes into planning everything. Not to mention that this club is still relatively new so I’m hoping my plans work. Planning aside, I am so excited to start developing and writing this semester’s short film and seeing all the new members and their ideas.
