If you’ve been a frequent reader of my content, you have quickly realized my obsession with Pacifica Beauty. Since joining Her Campus, I have written two separate articles about Pacifica. One from last month that discusses the sustainability of the brand. The other from over a year ago detailing my, then, skin care routine. While writing the sustainability article, I ordered a bunch of new products. They have arrived! This means it’s time for another review!
Sea Foam Complete Face Wash
Ever since Pacifica discontinued the Crystal Foam Sparkling Clean face wash, I have been on an endless quest to find the face wash that’s right for me. This is an extremely tricky process because every face wash from Pacifica works beautifully for me. The hard part is finding the perfect one! The Sea Foam Complete face wash is in fact my perfect face wash. I buy the five ounce bottle, which costs $10 on the website. The website describes this product as smelling like fresh coconut. This is true; however, I would say the smell is very reminiscent of the Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen brand. The four main ingredients used in this face wash are coconut water, coconut oil, sea algae and white tea. It can also be used on all skin types! You know this product is the real deal because it’s currently finals season here at Bradley, and this face wash has been able to minimize my stress-induced breakouts. My face is always left feeling refreshingly clean!
Coconut Probiotic Water Rehab Cream Mini
I have never tried this product but will continue to buy it. I have only used it a few times, but it has truly hydrated my face. I felt so refreshed afterwards. The motto of this product is “party then … rehab now.” You can use it anytime of day and don’t even have to party before using it. I’ve frequently use this product the morning after a long night of partying. The main ingredients of this product are coconut water, vegan probiotics and hyaluronic acid. A one ounce bottle is $10, and I know that sounds outrageous. However, with this product a little goes a long way and will still get the job done.
Coconut Essence Hydro Mist Mini
This is a new type of product for me. I haven’t tried any sort of face mist. The motto of this product is also “party then … rehab now.” Let me tell you, they live up to this motto! Whether actual parties or late night study sessions, when I wake up and use this spray my face feels instantly rejuvenated. The two ounce bottle costs $5 and will last longer than you expect. Its main ingredients include coconut, aloe and vitamin B. I cannot recommend this product enough! I bought it on a whim because it looked interesting, and it ended up being my favorite new purchase.
Pore Warrior Everyday Lotion
This is another new product for me. Just like my face wash quest, I have been searching for a new moisturizer to replace the crystal infused moisturizer. I don’t know if there’s a word for the way the pores on my face behave. Essentially, my pores consistently look like little bumps, but even if I just scratch over them they clean out. I can’t find a better way to explain it, but all that matters is my pores are weird. This product has began to eliminate my pore problem. Each time I use this product, my pores are less and less of a problem. This product is 1.7 ounces and comes in a glass bottle. I didn’t know it was a glass bottle until I knocked it over and heard a clink. I was genuinely confused. I looked on the back of the label and sure enough it is a glass bottle. This product is $16, and its main ingredients are niacinamide, cucumber and hyaluronic acid. Once again, the price may seem a bit steep, but a little goes a long way. I have been decreasing the amount I use each time, and I still find myself with excess lotion.
Dry It Out Acne Gel Spot Treatment
I swear by this product! This is a part of the Acne Warriors collection β along side the face lotion I discussed above. I would say I have never relied on a skin care product more than I rely on this one. When I first see a pimple start to form I apply this product. When I apply it to new pimples one to two times a day it takes at most two days to eradicate said pimple. Just one drop spread over a pimple is enough for each use. If I don’t notice a pimple before it gets out of hand, it only takes twice a day for three to four days to eliminate the pimple. Even after the first day the pimple will start to ease up. The main ingredients are cucumber, sage, mint, niacinamide and two percent salicylic acid. This product is one ounce and costs $10. This is a spot treatment and only one drop is needed each time; therefore, it will last you a long time. With how effective this product is, it is worth every single penny.
Pore Warrior Overnight Rescue Spot Dots
I have also used the overnight rescue dots from the Acne Warriors collection. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to get the job done for me. I will say they are beneficial on the more open areas of your face. However, for me, my pimples are almost always on my noise and mouth area. Because of how tricky the placement of pimples in this area are, the patches are unable to seal properly. Sealing a pimple in under these patches β and any other brand’s pimple patches β is essential to its success. When it comes to Pacifica’s pimple dots, the main ingredients are hydrocolloid and tea tree oil. For $8 you get 30 patches (15 of each size). Overall, I would still recommend buying a pack of these because they do work extremely well on those easier to place parts of your face.
Vegan Ceramide Hydration Fill Undereye & Smile Line Jelly Patches
I received this product as a free gift with my order. I would not have thought to buy this product had it not been included in my order. I have only used this product once, but I will say it was a very revitalizing experience. Because I haven’t frequently used this product I am not able to write a lengthy and accurate review. The products main ingredients are vegan ceramides, marshmallow root extract and calendula. When this product is not provided as a free gift it costs $7. You will receive four single use patches in a resealable pouch.
Friendly reminder
If you have any pets at home, make sure you store and dispose of your products properly. Some essential oils and other natural products can be harmful to pets. It is important to keep this is mind when storing and disposing of your products. For example, tea tree oil is safe for humans but extremely toxic to cats. I recommend doing a quick google search to see if your pets could find an ingredient toxic. If you find a product you really want to try out but may be toxic to animals, don’t get discouraged. You can still buy these products, but you have to be extra vigilant when storing and disposing of the product. I recommend keeping them in a cabinet or even the fridge β depending on the product, some may be able to be stored in a cooler place. When it comes to disposing them, make sure they aren’t placed on the top of the garbage and try to not let them sit around for a long time.
A few fun facts
Almost every Pacifica product tells you how much recycled plastic was used in its packaging. I love seeing what percentage of the packaging is recycled plastic because it’s some fun information and feels more personal. In addition to this little fun fact, each package will tell you what parts can and should be recycled. This is a great way to avoid any confusion when it comes to how to dispose of empty packages. We only have one planet, and Pacifica is taking great steps to do their part in saving it!
