As the semester nears the end, most of our time management abilities seem to dwindle out as well. So I have prepared a short list of time management skills to keep in mind during the last two months of school.
1. Get a Google Calendar Google calendar or any form of a calendar is extremely helpful. You can create different calendars within one calendar, color code everything, add reminders, invite others to view your available times, and so much more. If you don’t have a google calendar you need to get one. If you have one, don’t forget to constantly update it and add everything and anything to it.
2. Clean and organize Cleaning and organizing your life and your room in your free time can maximize your productivity during your “study time” or “work time”. When your room is clean and organized you feel like your life is more organized, and you can also find everything you need.
3. Study wisely Take time to look at your study patterns, it’s very important to know what works best for you. For some people studying with your friends may be very productive but for others it’s the complete opposite. If you know you can’t get work done in your room take all the necessary steps to avoid your room during your study time. Set study times and stick to it, that way you won’t have to work it into your schedule or stay up all night cramming before an exam.
4. Do your best to avoid getting sickGetting sick is a huge bummer. When you get sick you’re extra tired, gross, and underproductive. Take all the necessary steps to avoid getting sick. You never know what’s going around, it is flu season and you’ll be out of commision for at least a week if you get the flu. You can maximize your time and productivity by not getting sick.
5. Sleep Believe it or not sleeping maximizes your time. You are actually much more productive when you take time to sleep. If you’re up studying late and find yourself not getting anything done at all just go to sleep, and wake up early to finish your work or studying. Remember sleep maximizes quantity and quality. Sleeping regularly is also a great way to avoid getting sick.
