Tell us about your involvement with FaceAIDS:
FaceAids is the youth movement for Partners in Health, and we raise awareness and fundraise as a part of them. One of the ways we fundraise is by selling pins made by people with AIDS in Rwanda to help them pay for drugs and medicines.
Wow that’s amazing! Is it a big time commitment?
Well we have weekly meetings and I’m also the treasurer of the group, but it’s all really worth it and meaningful.
That’s great. You’re also in SDT?
Yeah! I joined in the fall, and I really love it. I’m also now the assistant sisterhood chair so I get to help plan sisterhood events and things like that!
What’s your favorite SDT memory so far?
I think just getting so close with such a tight-knit group of girls and it’s a great support system.
What’s been your most “desian” moment so far?
Oh, definitely during my first week at Brandeis when I burned holes in my shirt while ironing.
Too funny. What’s the best thing about living in Massell?
Definitely when it’s nice outside, being able to sit out by the pond with friends
The midyear class has barely just arrived on campus. Any advice?
I’d say pick a few things you’re really passionate about and get very involved in them instead of trying to do absolutely everything.
Favorite Usdan meal?
Greek chicken and avocado salad from the gluten-free corner.
That’s my favorite, too! What’s one necessity you can’t live without?
Trader Joe’s snacks!
What’s your study trick?
I try my best not to procrastinate and stay up to date!
