You may have noticed paper pastry bags and coffee cups with a new logo circulating campus. The grand opening that we’ve all been waiting for has come, and the brand new Dunkin Donuts in the Village is now open for business. The new Dunkin is complete with purple and orange streamers for the big opening and bright screens displaying an enticing menu. On November 18th at 2pm, students rushed to get coffee, tea bagels, donuts, and other goodies. In comparison to Einsteins and Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts is cheaper, quicker, and more familiar. So, if after a great workout in the “estrogym” you feel like treating yourself to a pastry, you can now go for it with the utmost convenience. To better cater to the Brandeis community, many of the items on the menu at the new Dunkin are kosher, so feel free to take your Bubbe and Zeidi to Dunkin Donuts when they visit. This opening is just the first of the additions to Brandeis dining options to accompany the university’s transition to Sodexo services–a kosher deli will also be opening in usdan to replace Quiznos.
