HC: So you’re on the Student Committee for the Rose Art Museum (SCRAM). How did you get involved in that?
MF: I take art classes here, I’ve taken painting, drawing and art history, and I heard about it from one of my professors! It’s a super cool thing. We plan the scramjam, which is a dance inside the Rose, and also we are in charge of loaning out to students who want to display pieces of art in their rooms.

HC: Wow, that sounds amazing! You’re also involved in lacrosse, totally opposite! How is it?
MF: It was a really cool thing to try because they didn’t have it in my high school so when I saw they had it here I really wanted to try it! It’s a pretty chill team and we just have fun, but its not so competitive and a great social activity.

HC: How’s Sigma Delta Tau?
MF: I love it, I joined last spring and I’ve found that its such a great support system and network of people and I’ve made great friends being involved!

HC: So if you could have a mixer in a dream location, where would you have it?
MF: hahahhaah, I have no idea! If I had to pick, a bowling alley would be very fun especially recreating the whole scene from Across the Universe of dancing on the bowling lanes.

HC: How fun! You also frequent Chabad. Have you found that it’s harder or easier to be involved in Jewish life here?

MF: It’s interesting because at a place like Brandeis with so many Jews of such strong backgrounds, it is really incumbent upon the individual to go out and see what they like the best! There are so many organizations but if you try them all out to get the right fit it will be great.

HC: Great advice! What’s one thing you can’t live without in your room?
MF: I drink VitaRain, aka Costco vitamin water, because it keeps me energized!

HC: What’s your guilty pleasure class that you’ve taken?
MF: My modern and contemporary art class, because it’s very abstract, so I really get to think of my own opinions and they are always valid. I’m free to explore!

HC: One last question: fall clothing essential?
MF: Definitely scarves. I love to mix and match them, and they keep me warm!

When Andrea is not routing on her favorite basketball team, she dedicates her time to her many passions.
