It’s that time of the year again. Everyone is hitting the gym and all of the machines and mats are taken. However, this occurence is a perpetual cycle–the gym is filled for two months and then empty again. Why? People have lost motivation, caved in and stopped their diets because they missed that delicious junkfood. However, what if I told you that there are apps that you could download onto your phone that will help you preservere? Here’s a list of 8 of the top-rated apps on the market that are FREE and created to help you overcome all of the obstacles of healthy living whether it is in the kitchen or in the gym.

         Fleetly: This app is geared to make you the master of your success. You can choose from an array of options that include starting pre-made challenges or creating personalized challenges and tracks your progress. This app is great if you want to create goals and see how far you have yet to go and how much you have already achieved. It tracks your mileage when you decide to do cardio, suggests workouts when you don’t know what to do for certain goals, and is simply a great motivator!

         Tempo Run: If you are a cardio fiend, this app is perfect for you. This app synchs your music library to the app and categorizes it based on the tempo of the beats of the music. Your music is then categorized into different playlists based on the speed that you are intending on running. The music is set up so you will always have motivating music for the fast or long runs, or relaxing music for simple jogs.
