In the lure of this fall’s newest fall beauty trends, the latest nail trends stand out as one of the bolder statements.
This year’s Fall Fashion Week featured some of the most entertaining and bold trends that go together well with the looks of the season, mixing and matching classic colors with modern flare and style.
But it really is all about the modern twist when it comes to nails. This season it’s more about finding new ways to use classic colors. Examples include your classic black polish, topped with a crackle or sparkle layer or a red tip to spice up the classic, French tip look. Also, try a patterned, striped or spotted, black and classic red pattern.
If you’re more into your neutral tones, you’re in luck, because flesh and whiter tones ruled the runway this fall. Try a simple beige or light, nude gloss for simplicity and elegance. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, playing with your classic rouge pink and white polish are also very “in”.
My personal favorite thing to do during the free time called the holidays is relax, and what can be more relaxing than a trip to the nail salon or a spa night with your best friends? Personally I recommend a celebration at Keldara, a fabulous spa spot in Dedham (about 15 minutes from Brandeis).
If you’re just not feeling the drive, this month’s styles are simple and classy, so feel free to pick some basic black, reds, and nudes and get to it. Suggested brands include Essie now and Sally Hansen (both now conveniently sold at CVS).
Conveniently, if you’re not into slaving over your nails for hours on end, Sally Hanson has recently created the
most convenient, stick on nail enamels, that perfectly mimic nail polish and feature this Fall’s styles (sold $13.99 at any major drugstore).
Also, if you want that awesome, multicolor look you can invest in a crackle coat, or a crackle polish so you don’t have to go at your nails with a miniscule paintbrush – brought to you by Sally Hanson and OPI.
The holidays are coming up so take this time to try out some new nail styles and get festive!
