So you’re thinking about going vegetarian. Not because you really want to be healthy, but because that girl with amazing skin is always bragging about being a vegetarian and how it changed her life. Therefore, because you’re jealous of her ‘glowtastic’ skin you’re gonna play her at her own game and become a vegetarian as well and get poppin skin. While, that’s amazing and ambitious; it’s not that easy or that transformative. So here’s a guide to all the college girls that wanna be a vegetarian but not lose 50% of their muscle and fat and still be able to function mentally and emotionally.
Step 1: Research and know about all the different types of vegetarian diets such as veganism, lacto vegetarian, ovo vegetarian, lacto-ovo vegetarian, pollotarian, pescatarian, and flextarian. THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME. So don’t run around claiming you’re lacto-ovo vegetarian while eating a plateau de fruits de mer.
Step 2: Learn about the nutrients your going to have to replace when you stop eating said food item. If you stop eating meat you’re going to have to supplement other food or vitamins that are high in protein. Without, this you cannot function well and everything you do will be difficult. Working out will be difficult, focusing on your homework will be difficult, even having energy throughout the day will be difficult.
Step 3: Have a reason for becoming a vegetarian and stand firmly by your decision. Don’t become a vegetarian for others but because you want to improve your health.
Step 4: Brag about it. Being a vegetarian is not a feasible task. So when people ask why you’re not eating the 1 lb lemon spice wings explain and exclaim your lifestyle. Just don’t exclaim it in the middle of a conversation about someone’s grandmother dying. Slightly insensitive. And besides you don’t wanna be known as the girl that always talking about being vegetarian, because people get sick of it quick.
