Do Yourself a Flavor

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brown chapter.

… and go to FroyoWorld!

Where do you find Brown students after an unbearable Orgo exam? Eating at FroyoWorld, of course. But most people don’t need an excuse to go eat delicious frozen yogurt at the hottest new spot on campus – the place is always packed, whether there’re sunny skies or a torrential downpour outside. Move over Juniper, FroyoWorld is the new place to be.

The moment you walk into FroyoWorld, you will be greeted by one of the store’s friendly employees. They’ll ask if they can help you (and they really mean it). Just like their slogan goes, “FroyoWorld is all about you.”

FroyoWorld had its grand opening this past Thursday, May 5th, where they handed out free tee shirts. However, they had a soft opening two weeks ago and have been serving hungry students and locals for a while. Helena, one of the friendly employees, said that the separation of the two openings was not entirely necessary, because they have gotten no requests and have been functioning without change for two weeks. Other local hangouts, like La Creperie, have been seeing a drop in customers because of it.

Even though there have been no official requests, FroyoWorld is always observing what customers like and rotate their yogurt flavors accordingly. Cake batter is the most popular flavor, according to Helena, and is therefore a permanent option. Other flavors are switched out with new ones when the demand for them is low. The toppings do not change, but with 45 options, why would they need to? The most popular topping is right now is strawberries, but the options range from cereals and cheesecake bites to hazelnut crème and mochi. Whether you are in the mood for something light and fruity or chocolaty and sugary, FroyoWorld has you covered.

When asked if she likes working at Froyoworld, Helena told me that “the people are fantastic” and its all about the music, the vibe and the atmosphere. It’s hard to walk by the huge windows and not want to be a part of the fun. So if you are looking for a place to meet with friends, a good way to take a study break, or just something really delicious, it seems like FroyoWorld is the place to be.
