Bryant University prides itself on many things, one of which is giving back.  Bryant firmly believes that by engaging the University means to share a vision for the future.  By giving back, every philanthropy will change the lives of generations for students to come for the better.  The impact of giving back is endless and the strategic plan Vision 2020: Expanding the World of Opportunity will soon prove that but a group of freshmen have jumped on this bandwagon.Â
David Shannon, Catherine Emond, Lauren Slaney, Benjamin Beaulieu, Bryant Stipek, and Julia Stati won the annual Target Competition which is a semester-long project in the Global Foundations of Business (GFOB) class! Â This team won $1,000, as usual, and decided to do something for the good of the community with a large chunk of that cash. Â Feeling selfless, the group of freshmen donated $400 to the Family Literacy Center of Lincoln, Rhode Island. Â
We wanted to shed light on this instance because they did something not many cash-prize winners are caring enough to do. Â Thanks for giving a true meaning behind the “Character of Success” which embodies Bryant University, and congratulations on your win!
