Campus Cutie: Mr. Bryant Winner Logan Ribeiro

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

Name: Logan Ribeiro

Hometown: Raynham, Massachusetts

Class: Senior

Major: Financial Services

Minor: Psychology Concentration

Her Campus: What made you want to be a candidate for Mr. Bryant?

Logan Ribeiro: I actually participated in Mr. Bryant my sophomore year after being convinced by my friends.

HC: What are you involved with on campus?

LR: I am currently a brother of the Sigma Chi fraternity, a Student Ambassador, and a MyPath Mentor. I am also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Order of Omega, in addition to serving as an Orientation Leader for the Class of 2021 and was an IDEA Mentor for two years and got second place. I then wanted to be a candidate this year and try to win first place.

HC: Did your involvements influence your decision on how you presented yourself during the competition?

LR: I would definitely say they had an influence on me during the competition. Many of my involvements require me to be energetic and outgoing in front of others (Ambassadors, OL, and IDEA specifically). These involvements made me feel very comfortable on stage while completely embarrassing myself.

HC: What is your favorite thing about Bryant University?

LR: I would say my favorite thing about Bryant is the sense of community. The first time I stepped onto campus back in high school, I felt welcomed and knew I would fit right in. My professors have always supported me, and I have made so many friends through Greek Life and other involvements that I never would have met if I did not choose Bryant.

HC: What is your favorite place to go near campus?

LR: I pretty much live on the second floor of the Fisher Student Center. If I’m not working or in class, there is a good chance I’m studying (usually procrastinating) or talking to my friends there.

HC: What is your favorite season and why?

LR: Very tough decision but I would have to say fall. I love the summer and warm weather but there’s nothing better than walking outside in a comfy sweatshirt (don’t @ me).

HC: What are your plans for after graduation?

LR: As of right now, I will be continuing full-time with my internship at Financial Planning Solutions in Cranston as a Financial Planning Specialist (super awkward because I’m waiting to hear back from Fidelity so who knows). I will also begin studying to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) after graduation.

HC: What are some fun facts about you?

LR: I’m left-handed, I used to be a black belt in karate in middle school, I love vines, I played with cheetahs in South Africa on SIE, I don’t know how to whistle, and I think I’m really funny.

HC: What will you miss most about Bryant?

LR: I will definitely miss Tupper, but even more I will miss being a short walk away from all of my friends on campus. Although I will be graduating soon, I will try my best to stay in touch with all of the great people I’ve met during my four years here at Bryant.
