HC: Who do you relay for?
CG: My mom who had breast cancer and all of my family friends who had cancer.
HC: What inspired you to become the Relay for Life Assistant Director and eventually Director?
CG: I got involved at a very young age. In third grade, my parents had me going to Relays with them. It was something I wanted to carry on in college. Assistant Director seemed to be a great leadership opportunity and way for me to get involved with Relay at Bryant.
HC: What was your favorite part of being Director?
CG: Seeing how excited our committee got as we got closer to the event. Everyone has a passion and a reason behind why they relay. It was awesome to see how we can all come together for a joint cause.
What has this experience taught you?
CG: I learned a lot about myself as well as my leadership capabilities. It also showed me how supportive Bryant students are for one another. As a freshmen, being Assistant Director taught me about the opportunities on campus; no matter who you are, you can reach out and find something you connect to.
