We have compiled a list of food options and tips for those who have gluten and dairy free dietary restrictions. You shouldn’t have to lose the flavor and joy you get from eating food or have to limit yourself from food due to the options on campus. Here we have come up with some ideas that may help you get that joy back when eating food and even if you do not have a restriction, here are some new options to try!

Dairy and Gluten free foods on Campus

Breakfast:

  • Fried egg
  • Home fries
  • Bacon
  • Fruit
  • Banana or apple with peanut butter
  • Lucky Charms with almond, oat, or soy milk
  • Van’s Gluten free waffles
  • Coffee Connection has gluten free bagels (you can get an egg and dairy free cheese on it)

Lunch/Dinner:

  • Sushi (soy sauce is not gluten free, and check the toppings)
  • Grilled chicken sandwich, take bread off and add sauces (don’t do if celiac)
  • Rice ramen by Lotus Foods
  • Salad- chickpeas, veggies, balsamic glaze, chicken, and any other toppings
  • Taco bowl- rice, taco meat, pico de gallo, salsa, beans, and lettuce
  • Perdue gluten free chicken nuggets
  • The Scoop has gluten free chicken wraps
  • Nick’s Place fries (they are gluten free)
  • Biagio’s has gluten free and dairy free options for pizza
  • White rice, ginger sauce, and the pineapple and cucumber mix in The Lemon Grass area of Salmo’s dining hall
  • Gluten free pasta and red sauce

Snacks:

  • Hummus- can put in salad, dip veggies in, or dip rice crackers in
  • Gluten free pretzels are significantly crispier than normal pretzels
  • Gluten free Oreos
  • Soft serve ice cream in Salmo is dairy free
  • Violife has really great tasting dairy free cheeses
  • Doritos are gluten, but not dairy free
  • Barbecue, Salt and Vinegar, and Plain Lays chips
