Local Halloween Activities

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

As the decorations start going up and the costume stores start re-opening, we get more and more excited for Halloween! Getting our costumes ready just isn’t enough; to really get in the Halloween mood try to visit some terrifying attractions!

The Factory of Terror

3 bridal Ave West Warwick, RI

http://www.factoryofterror.com

This indoor haunted house has three different locations: Fall River, West Warwick, and Worcester.  The closest location to Bryant is in West Warwick.  This attraction not only has creepy actors scaring the living daylights out of us, but also incorporates prosthetic props to creep us out.  Personally I know of one person who literally pissed their pants walking through this haunted house!!

Field of Screams

179 Plain Meeting House Rd.

West Greenwich, RI 02817

401.397.2201

This attraction probably has the best bang for our buck.  It has not only one, but three different attractions including a haunted walkthrough with actors popping out of every corner, a hayride that takes us through different terrifying scenes, and lastly, there is one more walkthrough, but instead of a dark house, its filled with neon colors and 3D glasses are required.  Even just walking to and from the different attractions, there are actors at every corner trying get screams out of anyone who walks by.

Providence Ghost Tour

60 Congdon St.

Providence, RI

http://www.providenceghosttour.com

For those of us that feel like haunted houses are a little corny, a ghost tour might be a better fit.  The Providence Ghost Tour travels to sites in Providence that have a history of abnormal activity, or have had mysterious deaths.  The freakiest part about this tour is the disclaimer, it literally says “The Providence Ghost Tour cannot be held responsible for any haunting, soul-possession or poltergeist activity endured before, during, or after participation on the tour.”  Only the bravest souls should try out this attraction!
