By this point in our lives, a lot of us don’t know what to put on our Christmas lists. Whether our desires be too expensive to ask mom and dad for (like Louis Vuitton luggage to accompany the 2 month trip through Europe we definitely are not getting) or unable to be bought in a store (a boyfriend, financial stability, good grades, etc.), or we run out of ideas completely, gifting can be stressful. However, deciding what we need to use at school is an easy write up. We’ve compiled the complete list for what we as suitemates are begging for this semester.
1. A deep clean
It’s finals – who actually has time to vacuum and scrub the bathroom like we are supposed to? It be pretty convenient if Santa could spare a few elves to come over and lend us a hand before break.
2. Toilet paper
In September, we moved in fully stocked. With the amount of excruciating trips from the car to our dorms, one would think we would be set for the entire semester. But by now, we are running low, nearly as low as our bank accounts, and could use a few more rolls (mostly we don’t want to leave our beds to go to the store).
3. Alcohol
Does this even need to be explained?
4. Snacks
We’re staying up late and we are HANGRY. If one more friend comes in and tries to steal our popcorn, we might snap. Please send more ASAP.
5. Blankets and pillows
It’s cold and we really, really want a nap. Plus that favorite blanket that you left in the common room earlier in the year has definitely migrated to someone’s room.
6. A pet
Holiday gifts can bypass rules, right? There may already be 6 of us in a shared space, but no room is too small for a few furry friends.
7. Unlimited Febreeze
Another banned item in most dorms is candles, so we will have to settle for air fresheners and other scented goodies to get us by. Not only does it mask our rooms having not been cleaned in…a while (reference #1), but there is no better way to get in the holiday spirit than with the smell of pine, cinnamon, and sugar cookies.
8. Good neighbors
Glad to have people so close who have a good taste in music, not glad that we noticed this at 1 am on a Tuesday #SorryNotSorry.
