We’ll admit it, Bryant housing isn’t always the easiest to make feel homey. Between the concrete walls and the intense florescent lighting, it can often feel a little desolate. If you’re looking to spice up your dorm/common room, we have just the project for you! A Pinterest-inspired tin can lamp! It’s easy and adds a stylish decorative touch to any room. We hope this project can “lighten up” your day.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Empty Can (such as a soup can)
- Spray Paint
- Electric Drill
- Christmas Lights
Now let’s get crafty, with these simple steps, you’ll have a cool tin can lamp of your own:
- Clean out the can
- Use the electric drill to make holes into the can, be sure to evenly distribute the holes around the can, the more holes you put, the brighter your can will shine.
- Spray paint the can with a color of your choice
- Place the Christmas lights inside of the can
- Plug in the Christmas lights
And there you have it, in less than 15 minutes you have a trendy new light for your room.
