As a fellow member of the Class of 2020, Liz gets how exciting and stressful sophomore year can be. She just declared her Anthropology major and is also involved on campus in a bunch of other ways. Here’s how she does it all!

What’s something people should know about you?
I have a bizarre obsession with chickens. They’re just so darn cute! If anyone shows me a picture or a video of a chicken doing a cute thing, I will probably cry.

I work as a Thrive Mentor and a worker at New Dorm Dining Hall.
Why did you choose Bryn Mawr, and why did you choose to stay?
I initially didn’t think I wanted anything to do with Bryn Mawr, or women’s colleges in general; I actually only applied to make my mom, BMC ’92, happy. When I found myself waitlisted at more than a few schools in 2016, I decided that I didn’t want to wait for my top choices to make up their minds about me, so I enrolled here, thinking that I would try it for a year and then transfer. I ended up being much happier than I had originally anticipated I would be and decided to stay.
What’s your favorite memory from your time at Bryn Mawr?
I’ve had so many great memories so far; it’s really hard to pinpoint one in particular. I’ve really enjoyed all of the traditions, and I was able to volunteer at Lantern Night this year, so that was really fun!
What’s  your favorite way to relax?
I’m completely and hopelessly addicted to beauty videos on YouTube. It’s sad, but it’s true. They make me want to buy a bunch of things I can’t afford, but I still love them.
What are your favorite spots in Bryn Mawr?
I love Taft Garden (when it’s not under construction), and I’ve had a lot of fun exploring weird places on campus that no one really cares to visit, like the attic in Taylor or the woods behind the pond.
What are some things you’re up to, and how can we support you?
I’m currently in the throws of applying for a dream internship, so that’s nerve-wracking but still exciting.
Thank you for your time Liz!
