Book boxes are something that every book lover needs. They typically send a new release and a handful of bookish goodies, such as wall tapestries and candles, every month. I adore these subscriptions, and it helps keep me up-to-date on new releases for my book blog (IG: @cessierooreads). Although I have written about Owlcrate in the past, I wanted to include it once again! It’s the box I personally pay for, and now you can easily compare it to the others also listed below. The boxes below are the ones that I have seen the most hyped up on social media. Plus, they all offer amazing products. I hope you find a box that fulfills your bookworm wishes! Here are the five best YA book boxes, in no particular order:
1. Owlcrate

This book box sends a new signed YA book out every month and includes a note from the author. The book also has an exclusive cover designed for Owlcrate. The bookish goodies tend to be themed around magic or other popular YA series. For example, in the past, Owlcrate has sent out a Harry Potter beanie, POP figures, and a Disney-inspired pillowcase! They often include candles and have been known to send two books as a surprise.
2. Fairyloot

They’re known for sending cute book-themed apparel and delicious smelling candles! Each box has exclusive character art that will take your reader’s imagination to the next level. This box is filled to the brim with anything a fantasy lover could dream of!

This company is relatively new, but has grown consistently since opening their store. Unplugged is designed to help the reader unwind and relax—think of delicious tea and lovely candles. The box will have a new YA book, as well as goodies inspired for relaxation. Unplugged also sells an adult fiction book box, if that’s more your speed!
4. FaeCrate

FaeCrate is a book box for the YA fantasy and sci-fi lover. The most expensive box they offer includes a new YA book, bookish goodies, and a book-themed shirt. It is also possible to receive the box without the shirt, or the shirt on its own! FaeCrate is known for including cute home décor items like fairy lights and often include a mug or cup.
5. Litjoy

LitJoy sends out a new YA book every month, which is often signed by the author. The boxes tend to have a heavy focus on bookish art, so if you love themed décor, you’d love this box! Also included are several other bookish goodies, such as bookmarks, bath bombs, and pens. You can also pick up additional bookish items separately on their website.
If you’re in the market for a book box, one of these will definitely make you very happy! I love getting a monthly bookish surprise and finding out about what reads are popular in the book community. If you try out one of these boxes, let me know what you think!
