Stage 1: Uggs
(Late February – Early March)
It’s cold, it’s windy, and it’s miserable. Our feet are always cold and it feels like spring is never coming. At this point we don’t care what we look like leaving our rooms because it’s not like anyone can see us through our huge jackets anyway. The Uggs are taking a beating in this slush and salt. But they’re just so warm…
Stage 2: Bean Boots
(Mid March)
It’s not as cold and we can leave the Uggs behind. But, with things melting the puddles are getting pretty big—and mornings can be 20 degrees with afternoons in the 50s. Bean Boots will have to do for this part of the spring because it’s too cold for sandals, but too warm for Uggs… What a struggle.
Stage 3: Hunter Boots
(Late March – Early April)
As they always say, “April showers bring May flowers” and that’s surely the case here in Boston. With snow melting and the rain pouring down, making huge puddles, Hunters and Rain Boots will have to be the staple for the next few weeks so hopefully you can match them with all your outfits…
Stage 4: Sperry’s
(Mid April – Early May)
Finally things are drying up! The grass is starting to turn green and your boots can finally head to the closet. It’s finally time for your spring staple: Sperry’s and boat shoes. Nothing says warm weather like shorts and Sperry’s!Â
Stage 5: Flip Flops
(May – Summer)
Time to get that pedicure because your poor feet will finally be free from the winter blues. Flip-flops and sandals are the go-to and we’ve waited forever to shed those boots and wool socks. Enjoy those flops while you can and let your toes soak up the sun…we all know that our Uggs will be rolling back around all too soon…Â
